There are several corrugators in Mindanao serving the total corrugated carton requirement of the area. Mindanao’s annual requirement is roughly at 200,000MT, and about 84% of which is from the fresh fruits industry.

One of the biggest corrugators in Mindanao is Mindanao Corrugated Fibreboard, Inc. (Mincorr). The Plant is strategically located in Davao City, to easily serve the corrugated box requirements of Southern Mindanao where most of the commercial plantations are located.

Bulk of Mincorr’s volume is for the production of fresh banana boxes for export. Majority of which is in tolling arrangement, where the customers provide the kraft paper rolls for the production of its boxes at an agreed yield. Tolling arrangements are covered with long-term contracts that can range from 3 years up to 10 years.

Special arrangements are also being offered to its customers. Examples of these are buffer stock inventory, just-in-time deliveries to packing plants, duty-free importation of imported materials under the Philippine government tax incentive program, warehousing of kraft paper rolls, and oncall product development and technical services.

Besides the regular boxes such as RSC, HSC and CSSC, the plant is also capable of producing trays, wrap-around cartons, high-graphics prints, waxcoated cartons, rip-top cartons and POP/promo structures.
