Stainless Steel Glue Roll and Ceramic Coated Doctor Roll
The best option is a glue roll in stainless steel and a doctor roll with a ceramic layer. A longer operating life, less oxidation, greater resistance to damages, reduction of score lines and a lower TIR (Total Indicated Runout) are some of the important advantages of this combination. Special Screen Developments
Apex has special tools to engrave directly into (stainless) steel, and not into softer material such as copper, which leads to an extended lifetime of the anilox roll. Thanks to the many years of experience, Apex can be of help in adapting the line count and volume specifications of the roll. New developments are available in high screen counts (30 – 50 lc/m are very common) and different cell patterns, such as Positive Reverse Engraving.
Cleaning of Glue Sets
Apex have developed a special Glue roll cleaner. It is suitable for the removal of all kinds of pollution to glue rolls and to the surface of the Corrugator equipment that might be polluted with glue, like: glue rolls, doctor rolls, glue tanks, glue pumps- and pipes, glue barrels, additional fittings.
