Narrow web film laminating system for flexible packaging
The Digilam has been specifically designed for laminating narrow web packaging materials using an aqueous adhesive, it incorporates a driven unwind and accurate tension control to ensure a wide range of flexible packaging films can be processed.
A rotary gravure printing head is used to achieve the appropriate adhesive coat weight and the adhesive is fully cured by a four stage hot air dryer.
A second substrate is introduced and laminated to the master web via a heated roller prior to rewinding.
This process allows the print to be encapsulated within the laminate protecting the final product from exposure to the ink.
