Customer : Paragon Labels Group, one of Europes largest label producer for labels in the food and non-food industry. In 8 different manufacturing sides they have in total 65 presses from 4 to 10 colours. 95 % jobs are printed with UV inks.
The challenge : Early 2012 Paragon started testing with Apex GTT. Their aim was to raise of the print quality, consistency and profitability. At the same time to reduce the press downtime by ensuring inks supplied to press were ready to use, enabled by the consistency and accuracy of the Apex GTT engraved metering rolls. Apex also advised that other benefits would be seen including the elimination of spitting with UV inks, that roll inventory and roll changes could be significantly reduced.
